California electrician certification renewal
Getting certified is the hard part. Keeping it is straightforward, as long as you track the cycle and the continuing education so it does not lapse.

The renewal cycle
- Renews every 3 years.
- 32 hours of continuing education each cycle.
- Renewal fee, paid to DIR. No full re-examination.
Keep it from lapsing
Track your continuing education through the cycle instead of scrambling at the deadline. A lapsed certification is a headache you do not want after the work it took to earn it.
