In order, easiest first
Episode one is a single multiply. Every lesson after it adds exactly one new thing to carry, so you are never dropped into a demand calculation cold.
Worked, then handed over
You watch the whole problem written out by hand, then the same page hands you one to solve. Every word spoken is written underneath, and you can pin a note to the second it clicked.
Your exam, on every lesson
The arithmetic is the same everywhere. The exam around it is not. Each lesson carries your exam name, your code edition, your passing score, what you can bring in, and the trap your state is known for. Texas, California, Michigan, Washington and Maryland today.

Foundations
Start here. One formula at a time, easiest first, and every one of them shows up again later.

Power is volts times amps. Cover the one you want and the triangle gives you the rest.

Kilo means thousand. Move the decimal three places and keep going.

Series resistances add. Parallel ones always total less than the smallest branch.

Real power is apparent power times the power factor. Motors are never 1.0.
Calculation bootcamp
The patterns the calculations section actually tests. One multiply to start, building to the full demand calc.

Runs three hours or more, size it at 125 percent. That is the whole rule.

Every conductor is one, all grounds together are one, a device on a yoke is two.

Three or more conductors means 40 percent fill, and you never round up.

The 2 is the round trip. Current goes out on the hot and back on the neutral.

The nameplate minimum circuit ampacity already has the 125 percent built in.

Table current sizes the wire. The nameplate is for overload protection.

Three volt amps a square foot, first 3,000 at full value, 35 percent on the rest.
Sizing and services
Where the tables earn their keep. Starts with a multiply and ends with a full commercial service.

Straight pull is 8 times the biggest raceway. Angle pull is 6 times plus the others.

Grounding electrode follows the service. Equipment ground follows the breaker.

Start at the table, then derate for fill and for heat, in that order.

Three phase current is VA over volts times 1.732.

Take each load at its own demand factor, then total. Never average them.
Code book and exam craft
Not a calculation in the run. These are the skills that decide the exam: finding a rule you have never read, and not losing the clock.
Wiring methods and materials
The biggest single slice of the exam and the one people skip. Which cable is allowed where, how far apart it gets stapled, and how deep it sits in the stud.
Branch circuits and conductors
Second biggest slice of the exam. Where a receptacle has to go, what size wire feeds it, and which breaker is allowed in front of it.
Motors and generators
The worst section on the exam: candidates miss 49 percent of it and take the longest doing it. Four numbers, four different jobs, and the table beats the nameplate.
Services and grounding
The most asked section on the whole exam. Where the power comes in, what shuts it off, and the two ground wires people mix up all the way to test day.
Special occupancies
Gas stations, pools, job-site power and the hazardous location map. The section nobody works in every day, which is exactly why it costs points.
Feeders
The wire between the main and the subpanel. How to size it, what its neutral really carries, and the two tap rules the exam loves.
