Daily rotation:

  • Branch circuits and dwelling required circuits
  • Grounding and bonding identity
  • Wiring methods and ampacity
  • Boxes and conduit fill
  • Devices and panels

Goal: know which article family controls before reading answer choices.

Week 3: Calculations and Hard Traps

Daily:

  • 10 formula reps
  • 10 table lookups
  • 10 motor/HVAC questions
  • 5 voltage drop or 3-phase questions

Goal: fix setup errors, especially 125% vs 115% vs no multiplier.

Week 4: Full Exam Behavior

  • Day 22: 50-question half mock
  • Day 24: weak-area remediation
  • Day 26: 100-question full wave mock
  • Day 27: review every miss by article and lookup keyword
  • Day 29: final 30-question confidence set
  • Day 30: rest, logistics, ID, route, sleep

Wave Method

1. First pass: answer what you know immediately. 2. Second pass: answer what needs quick thinking. 3. Third pass: fast lookup. 4. Fourth pass: deeper lookup. 5. Fifth pass: hard calculations and stubborn flagged items.

The rule: do not let one monster question steal five easy ones.
