Am I Ready for the TDLR Exam? An Honest Checklist

The most expensive mistake is walking in on a hunch. A good quiz on a Tuesday is not a green light. Here is how a foreman would actually tell you whether you are ready, and how to find out fast.

Do not decide on a hunch

Here is the trap. You take one practice quiz on a slow Tuesday, you score an 84, and you book the exam for next week riding that high. Then test day brings a clock, a $78 fee, and a room full of nerves, and the 84 becomes a 64. One good run is not data. It is a mood. The only thing that tells you the truth is a steady score under time pressure, on more than one day.

Green, yellow, red

You need 70% to pass each portion. So why does green start at 80? Because practice does not carry test-day pressure, and you want a buffer that survives the nerves. Read yourself honestly against these three tiers.

The fastest way to see your color

You cannot grade yourself from memory. Take a timed run that scores you by section and tells you where you are bleeding points. The free 15-minute diagnostic does exactly that. It will not tell you you are ready after one run, but it will tell you, today, which sections are green and which are red, so you stop guessing about your own readiness and start fixing the actual gaps.

We do not promise you will pass. We tell you, in priority order, which sections to drill before test day, and we keep re-checking them so the day you go green, you know it is real.

Find out where you actually stand

The free 15-minute diagnostic scores you topic by topic, so you can read yourself against the green / yellow / red checklist instead of guessing. No signup.
